Boldyn Networks (Boldyn), a world's leading provider of shared connectivity infrastructure, today announced the deployment of new indoor 5G infrastructure at two leading Italian hospitals: Policlinico Tor Vergata in Rome and San Carlo Borromeo Hospital in Milan. 

The two Distributed Antenna System (DAS) installations will serve as key enablers of the digital transformation of healthcare facilities, providing high-performance indoor 5G mobile connectivity throughout the hospitals while creating the technological foundation for the development of new digital services supporting patients, healthcare professionals, and visitors. 

Powered by next-generation 5G infrastructure featuring low latency and high reliability, the hospitals will benefit from an advanced connectivity platform capable of supporting innovative applications for the healthcare of tomorrow. 

These applications include advanced telemedicine, enabling remote specialist consultations, connected medical-device patient monitoring, and more personalized care pathways designed to improve the patient journey. The infrastructure will also support intelligent hospital management through IoT solutions, augmented and virtual reality for training, clinical support and medical procedures, enhanced diagnostics and real-time collaboration among medical teams, as well as solutions designed to improve the overall experience of both patients and healthcare professionals. 

Boldyn's neutral-host infrastructure approach also enables mobile network operators and other technology providers to access a shared, high-performance network, eliminating unnecessary infrastructure duplication while fostering an open ecosystem for innovation.
