Smart City Roma announces the appointment of Brendan O’Reilly, CEO Europe & Asia of Boldyn Networks, as Chairman of its Board of Directors. He succeeds Andrew McGrath in the role.

The appointment comes as Smart City Roma continues to develop one of Europe’s most ambitious smart city infrastructure projects, under a 25-year concession with Roma Capitale. The project includes more than 2,200 5G small cells, connectivity across Rome’s metro network, public Wi-Fi in 100 squares, IoT sensors and smart cameras.

The infrastructure continues to evolve, providing a digital backbone and services that support Rome’s ongoing digital transformation and the delivery of smarter urban solutions for its citizens.
