Rome and New York City weren't built in a day. Discover how today's digital infrastructure is shaping the cities of yesterday and tomorrow.

Cities are constantly evolving. They are built up, layer by layer, each generation leaving its mark on the one before. Roman roads became the foundation for medieval streets. NYC faces its own unique complexities. The city is built on a network of century-old, concrete-walled subway tunnels, designed for transporting commuters, not enabling video calling and streaming services through tunnels deep underground. For the city that never sleeps, and the network that supports over 1 billion riders annually, suspending service in tunnels is a challenging task.

Two cities, separated by history, geography, and culture. Yet, both Rome and NYC demand the answer to the same question: how do you thread connectivity through places that weren’t designed to carry it?
