Boldyn Networks drives further sustainability progress and climate action in 2025

14 July 2025 | London, England

Today, Boldyn Networks (Boldyn) launched its 2025 Sustainability Report: Transforming Connectivity for a Sustainable Future. The report outlines the strides made across Boldyn’s sustainability commitments, as the company continues to bolster responsible innovation in digital infrastructure.

“This past year, we achieved remarkable global growth, expanding fast and connecting over one billion people. Yet, no matter how large we become, our purpose to unlock the power of an interconnected future reminds us of our responsibility as an industry leader to ensure we design, build, deploy and manage our networks and services in a sustainable way,” said Igor Leprince, Group CEO of Boldyn Networks.

With support from majority investor CPP Investments, minority investors, and a highly engaged Board, Boldyn’s 2025 Sustainability Report tracks progress against 51 targets. Notable highlights include:

  • Completed a UK-focused Scope 3 emissions pilot alongside investing in a new carbon accountancy platform to enhance emissions reporting and reduction planning.
  • GRESB score increased to 90, up 6 points from 2024 and 12 points above the peer average, highlighting Boldyn’s strength in global sustainability and operational standards.
  • Achieved a 92% employee engagement survey participation rate with an 85% score on safety, wellbeing and corporate responsibility metrics.
  • Increased overall gender representation to 28%, maintaining early delivery of Boldyn’s 2025 target.
  • Expanded the Bold Women and Allies network and launched new employee resource groups including Bold Vets (Veterans) and Bold & Diverse Minds.

The report includes the results of an unprecedented study that Boldyn commissioned to ABI Research last year. It revealed that neutral host networks are 38% greener and up to 47% more cost-effective than traditional 5G deployments, reaffirming the transformative potential of neutral host networks.

With a growing global sustainability governance structure, Boldyn continues to focus on measurable actions across business objectives that enhance public services, strengthen economies, and close digital divides in the cities and communities it serves.

Looking ahead, Boldyn remains committed to achieving net zero on Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2040, completing its double materiality assessment in 2026, and delivering sustainable, cutting-edge connectivity for communities worldwide.
