Boldyn Networks (Boldyn) hasappointed Antonino Ruggiero as the new CEO ofits Spanish business, expanding his leadership responsibilities while he continues to serve as CEO in Italy. With more than three decades of experience in building and operating complex interconnected networks across Europe and South America, Ruggiero further strengthens his position within the company.

Boldyn Networks is one of the world’s largest providers of shared networks infrastructure and a pioneer in the implementation of private networks.

Over the past year as CEO of Boldyn in Italy, among many projects, Ruggiero has played a key role in defining the #Roma5G project, which includes the deployment of the first advanced shared 5G infrastructure in the Italian capital, transforming the iconic city into a smart city.

Previously, he held various leadership positions at BT Group, Ericsson, Omnitel (Vodafone Italy), and TIM in Chile, Turkey, Brazil and Italy.

In Spain, Boldyn Networks is already playing a strategic role in the country’s digital transformation, primarily through the deployment of private 5G networks in complex industrial environments such as BASF and OPCSA. Under Ruggiero’s leadership, the company plans to bring insights from other markets such as Italy in the development of smart cities using neutral host technology, accelerating its momentum in the local market and opening new opportunities for global customers operating in Spain.

Antonino Ruggiero, CEO of Boldyn Networks in Spain, stated: “I am very excited to take on this expanded role and firmly committed to continuing to drive Boldyn Networks’ growth in the Spanish market, where we already work with leading industrial clients. We will enable technological development throughout the country thanks to the deployment of advanced 5G infrastructure.”

Andrew McGrath, CEO for the integrated business in Europe and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Boldyn Networks, said: “Antonino has an impressive track record in business development within the company and extensive experience in international markets. As the new CEO for Spain, he will provide decisive leadership in advancing the country’s strategic connectivity projects.”
